It is therefore essential that risk assessment is included in the education process. Education methods must reflect current, valid and enforceable safety and health regulations at work. In the conclusion part of this paper, we present some solution suggestions highlight the importance of suitable curricula at schools and educational institutions. The aim of this article was to find out how students at different age levels (students of secondary school and elementary schools) understand and observe the principles of safety and health which is a central prerequisite in preparedness for future occupation. It takes into account the age of students, their abilities, and their physical and mental maturity. Subsequently, the educational institution provides continuous education in this area for its students and employees and requires the observance of relevant legal standards by systematic control. When establishing specific measures the school takes into account predominantly the possible threat to students in education of individual subjects, movement within school, and the participation of students in various school-organised events. In order to secure this task the schools adopt preventive measures based on risk assessment associated with the school activities and environment. Schools ensure students’ safety and health in education, training and other related activities as well as in the provision of school services. Nowadays, as society supports technical education via dual learning, this issue is becoming particularly necessary. Occupational safety and health should be the subject of education, as it prepares students for their future occupation, and further adult education, including retraining. Future research should be conducted regarding PPE design, transfer of perceptions, and what PPE is needed by both teachers and students. Moreover, researchers identified implications of changing demographics on PPE design and usability, both in the laboratory and the workplace. It was concluded the factors of age, gender, semesters of agricultural mechanics courses, and agricultural education district have limited ability to explain differences in in student’s PPE knowledge or PPE comfort. This study also concludes students perceive they receive minimal training, access, and/or use of hearing and air quality PPE. Researchers identified an increase in female students enrolling in agricultural mechanics coursework. The purpose of this research is to investigate Missouri high school agricultural mechanics students’ safety knowledge and safety attitudes. Further, the agricultural mechanics laboratory provides students with an opportunity to learn through authentic learning scenarios. Virtually every aspect of agriculture has a mechanics component and a large portion of secondary agriscience curriculum is devoted specifically to teaching agricultural mechanics. Furthermore, legal regulations must be included in OSH Education so that all staffs and students grasp the legal status and importance of OSH.Īgricultural mechanics instruction includes a broad array of machinery, structures, and technical systems, as well as a diverse workforce. Malaysian Ministry of Education should place OSH Education as a separate course in curriculums of vocational and technical schools at all levels. Several components such as safety training, safety knowledge, PPE, safety communication, safety rule and the influence of peers significantly contribute to the positive safety culture in vocational training as the managerial need to keep up the great effort in bringing these element in this sector. Data were collected from 447 academic staff from Vocational Colleges using a cross-sectional survey by using a multi-stage sampling. Therefore, this study was to analyze the relationship between factors that contribute to safety culture, analyzing through the Importance-Performance Matrix Analysis (IPMA) what the aspects to improve by the management to increase a safe working condition in the education sector, using PLS-SEM. The aim of this research paper is to identify areas of improvement that can be addressed by managerial decisions and also policy activities in the Malaysian education sector, in creating academic organizations as a safe workplace for teachers and students. Many studies have shown the importance of element that leads to broad behaviors, or culture actions, that are considered essential to the development of a positive safety culture in a workplace mostly in high-hazard industries, but less is done in the education sector. Understanding safety culture in an organization can make a significant contribution to changing employee attitudes and behaviors in relation to workplace health and safety.
